Praia Fluvial

Relaxing holiday

Want to completely relax and let yourself be completely pampered? Do not have to do anything, but can do everything Even then you have come to the right place.

Relaxing at a river beach

Plenty of river beaches nearby and the sea is an hour’s drive away. Relax in the sun or shade and take an occasional dip in cool and clear river water, or let the rays of a waterfall land on your back. The river beaches are the ideal solution for those seeking refreshment in a quiet, peaceful environment in the middle of green forests.

The rivers run through mountains and valleys and through small paradise retreats with natural dams and small waterfalls where you can dream away in the shade of a tree or sunbathe on a lawn.

A testament to the concern for the environmental conditions, safety and accessibility of those places is the growing number of river beaches with aBlue Flag, which offers better access to beaches for people with reduced mobility or to leisure areas with a varied range of services.

Riverbeaches with a Bleu flag or  Accessible beachlogo are from the north to the south of the country, but you can find most of them here hier in Central-Portugal. This is also where most of the rivers are located with conditions for practicing all kinds of activities. Discover the network of river beaches of the slate villages Aldeias do Xisto or explore them during a walk along the historic villages Aldeias Históricas or in the nature reserve Parque Natural da Serra da Estrela.

In and around the house

But there is also plenty of opportunity at the accommodation to completely relax. Relax by the pool with a cocktail made especially for you and occasionally take a refreshing dip in the spacious pool. Hang out in the hammock, or read a book with a view of to the forest or mountains. Everything is possible.

The forest, which borders our garden, offers plenty of opportunity for a walk and you will be amazed by the diversity of flora that you will encounter.
