The river Rio Paiva, with wild, clean and clear water, is one of the most popular places for rafting enthusiasts. The reasons are simple but powerful: a steep trail with a series of rapids in succession, fantastic scenery and a section that ends in a waterfall.

We would like to let you enjoy all the beauty that this region has to offer. Don’t want to worry about finding the right spots? No point. We are happy to pick up and deliver you for a small fee. Very handy if the start and end points are quite a bit apart for that one selected route. The apartments are sufficiently equipped to prepare full meals and the area also offers plenty of restaurants for economical dining out.

Paragliding, mountain climbing or abseiling is also possible in the region.

Mountain Athletics and orienteering are other activities that can be practiced here.

The tracks of Serra da Lousã guarantee pure adrenaline! The landscape is breathtaking and the fauna untouched, so that sometimes a deer crosses the road or a bird of prey flies over. Following the paths along the mountain ridges means for the bikers that they have to follow the tracks of the wild boars.

In Castanheira de Pêra it is worthwhile to discover the banks of the river Ribeira das Quelhas from Coentral.

Several mountain bike routes have been set out from Coja. If you are not able to bring your own mountain bike, we will gladly make sure that it is ready for you on arrival.

Piódão, this is without doubt one of the most picturesque villages in Portugal and is on the Unesco World Heritage List. Nestled in the hills of the Serra do Açor nature reserve, it radiates austere, pure beauty. From Piódão you can take beautiful walks through the green nature of the Serra do Açor nature reserve. A special place to walk to is Foz d’Égua. It is best known for its beautiful stone bridges and exciting rope-and-plank walkway. Another walk leads to the hamlet of Chãs d’Égua.

The varied, rough landscape, with the many winding mountain roads, is ideal for a holiday by motorbike. We have enough space to store your motorcycle safely and dry.

Golfe Montebelo in the area of Viseu with beautiful views of the mountains of the Serra da Estrela. There are two separate courses with 9 holes each; Curia Golfe in Curia. The Grande Hotel da Curia is also a spa town. The 9-hole course is not too difficult and by all accounts, enjoyable to play.”

This is the name of the highest mountain in mainland Portugal (1993 meters) and the mountain range of the same name. In it lies the Serra da Estrela Natural Park. Three rivers originate in this mountain range with glacial valleys: the Mondego, the Zêzere and the Ceira. They provide a water-rich and fresh environment. This and the hiking trails (with a combined length of 375 km) make this mountain range an ideal location for hiking or all-terrain activities. During the cold months, the Serra da Estrela is the only place in Portugal where you can ski, sled, snowboard or motor ski.
