Roman bridge in Coja

family vacation

A family holiday at A Casa Amarela, small-scale and surrounded by nature, offers many possibilities and often has a surprising effect on children.

It’s nice to see that especially children can enjoy very simple things. Like picking your own fruit from the tree, it suddenly tastes much better. Or watch a herd of goats pass by on their way to the meadow, accompanied by Portuguese sheepdogs. Swimming at a waterfall. In short, there is plenty to do here for the whole family.

When family vacations

We love children and would love to see them come. However, we realize that there are also people who want to come here for their rest and no matter how sweet your children are, rest and children often do not go together. Because they want to romp and they are allowed to. In order to meet all wishes as much as possible, children are welcome during the (Dutch) school holidays and we like to keep the other weeks reserved for adults.

Spacious apartments

A Casa Amarela has 2 spacious apartments with 2 bedrooms that are fully equipped and both suitable for a maximum of 6 people. The children’s bedroom has a standard bunk bed. This can easily be replaced by a single bed or a cot.

Facilities for children

There is plenty to keep the kids entertained on and around the site. In the bar there are books, toys and games that you can take with you to the residence. There is also a TV, a playstation and a Wii. On the grounds you will find a petanque court, swing and badminton court. Next to our site is a children’s playground and a football field. Our guests can also use this and get to know the local population.

Facilities for the parents

There is also plenty of entertainment for the parents. Enjoy a game of petanque or a game of badminton. With a freshly prepared cocktail on a sunbed by the pool or have a drink and chat in the bar. Whether or not accompanied by a game of darts. There are seats on the large terrace by the bar and you have an overview of almost the entire site and the swimming pool.

Screened swimming pool

We have a spacious heated swimming pool of 10×5 meters, which is completely walled and protected with an entrance gate. There is a paddling pool in the garden for the little ones.

Family Activities Nearby

The area also has plenty to offer families. Numerous river beaches can be found nearby, the rivers of which are often not deep and some even have waterfalls.

And a visit to one of the many festivals during the summer or one of the many weekly markets (where the traditional chicken food should not be skipped) are absolutely worth it. From the garden you walk almost directly into the forest, where you can take a lovely walk over the hills. But there are also various trips to make, such as:
